Management Referrals
This service is available to help you support your staff on a variety of issues / matters. The independent advice may provide information on how to support staff returning to work, any reasonable adjustments in the workplace, physiotherapy recommendations or ill health retirement applications.

Management referrals can be submitted using the Management Referral form below or directly using our online portal service (registration required), once received and triaged, the individual will be offered the first available appropriate appointment.

Risk & Health Surveillance
Our Health Surveillance Service are based on the specific requirements of each organisation. Following an initial discussion, a full working program is offered which is appropriate to each working area and location. Health Surveillance are completed by our specialist team either on or off site (if appropriate) on an annually or by annual basis, to be agreed.

Pre-Employment Screening Service
Review of new staff prior to starting in their position – providing a declaration of fitness and any guidance or recommendations where necessary. Forms can be completed manually or via the online portal service (registration required).

Ill Health Retirement
Our Occupational Health consultant can review any employees who may be a consideration for ill health retirement. On review of the information provided, our consultant will then provide a report of his findings to the Line Manager / HR and, where appropriate, an application will be submitted.

Flu Immunisations
A program that we provide locally to small and large organisations. This service is subject to contract / availability.

Immunisations
With an established track record of providing immunisation programs on a large or small basis, Suffolk Occupational Health will ensure you receive the latest guidelines / advice which may have an effect on your organisation / employees. Based on their working practice / environment, each employee will be offered the appropriate / relevant vaccinations to make them safe and protected in their everyday working setting.

Confidential Information, Support & Counselling Service 24/7
We continue to aspire to provide the best support and care for our entire workforce and to foster an environment that protects the physical and mental wellbeing of our staff.  

We recently launched a new wellbeing support programme for staff (and immediate family) at the Ipswich Hospital with a national organisation, CiC. This new service allows access 24/7 for telephone counselling, providing support with; managing pressure; bullying / harassment; performance at work issues; marital, family or relationship difficulties; stress, anxiety and depression; alcohol and substance misuse; addictive behaviour; bereavement; and work / life balance issues. CiC is an external, independent organisation and as such, colleagues can be assured that the support and advice provide is confidential. CiC can arrange face-to-face counselling close to your work or home.

In addition, CiC can provide assistance with practical matters on debt management, legal / tax advice and child / elder / disability care issues.

Counselling / Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Suffolk Occupational Health offers a totally confidential Counselling / CBT service with a team of individuals who have a wealth of experience across all areas. This service can be provided in-house or at a variety of locations around Suffolk.
