Our staff are pleased to be able to offer help, guidance and advice for people who have been referred to our department by their GP, community team or hospital team for a possible skin cancer assessment.

If you are awaiting a new appointment you can contact the new appointments team on 0845 8400200 to make enquiries. If a skin lesion is getting significantly bigger while you are waiting for your initial consultation, please see your GP who can ask the hospital to bring forward your appointment.

  • If you are awaiting a surgery date, please contact our secretarial team on 01473 704042.
  • If you have had surgery and are now waiting for a dressing review appointment or are experiencing wound problems, please contact  Dermatology Reception on 01473 704169 and ask to speak to a Dermatology/Plastic Surgery nurse about any concerns you may have. You can also contact the Macmillan Skin Cancer clinical nurse specialist on 01473 704717 for advice.
  • If you are awaiting biopsy results, please contact the secretarial team on 01473 704042 who can liaise with your consultant. The Macmillan Skin Cancer clinical nurse specialist on 01473 704717 can also make enquiries.
  • If you have experienced further skin cancer treatments and would like support, guidance and advice please contact the Macmillan Skin Cancer clinical nurse specialist on 01473 704717.
  • If you have been under follow-up for skin cancer requirements and have noticed changes of any concern in area of the treated skin cancer, or a new suspicious lesion, please contact the Macmillan Skin Cancer clinical nurse specialist on 01473 704717 so a prompt review appointment can be arranged.
