Rheumatology Research

The Ipswich Hospital Rheumatology Department is actively involved in a number of research studies and is pleased to be able to invite many who attend the outpatient department the opportunity to participate in this very important aspect of their care.

This research is supported by an experienced team of research practitioners who work closely with the Rheumatology specialists.

We are currently conducting clinical drug trials, observational studies, genetic research and manage registries for rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and lupus. You may be asked to participate in a clinical study but you have every right to decline or to withdraw from a study at any time. Your normal care will in no way be affected should you chose not to take part in a study if asked.

If you would like to know more about current research activity in the Rheumatology Department, please contact the generic research team on 01473 702486.

View the Ipswich Hospital Research and Development pages for more information and examples of patient experience in research.
