Macmillan Information and Support Radiographer

The treatment radiographers are always available to give you information and support throughout your course of radiotherapy.

Ipswich Hospital's Macmillan Information and Support RadiographersHowever if you would like more time to discuss any aspect of your treatment, a Macmillan information and support radiographer is available to speak to you and your family. The information and support radiographers are available to answer questions about your diagnosis and treatment options.

They are able to explain the different options and help you to understand what is happening at each stage of your illness and treatment. They are also able to offer support to family members, helping them to cope with their feelings surrounding your illness. As well as this they can offer practical and financial advice.The Macmillan staff work as part of a team within the hospital and can be used as a link with community services such as the community (district) nurses or community Macmillan nurses. They can also refer you to other members of the hospital team should you need advice from another specialist.

You can telephone us directly on 01473 704361. If we are not in the office, you can leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can. The answering machine is checked Monday – Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. You can telephone to make an appointment to see us or you can ask any of the staff to contact us on your behalf.
