Library and Learning Resources based at Ipswich Hospital provide resources and services to all NHS staff employed by Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, Suffolk Mental Health Partnerships, those working in primary care in east Suffolk and to students on placement.
Our main function is information supply and in support of this we offer a range of services and resources including:
- Access to online content: We provide access to a range of high-quality healthcare journals. All journals are now online-only and accessed using an NHS Athens password. Guides to the online content can be found on our Leaflets and Guides page.
- Document supply: We will identify, locate, download and supply articles on your behalf. Most articles are now supplied free of charge.
- Information support and search services: We will search the online healthcare literature on your behalf. Searches can be brief; “I’d like more information about …” to extended, structured searches in support of original research and systematic reviews. Call or email us to discuss your requirements.
- Training: We offer a range of training that ranges from how to find and access online journals to how to carry out detailed healthcare databases. See our training page for more information.
- Books and Ebooks: The library holds more than 8000 books covering all aspects of medicine and healthcare, including mental health.
To find out more about any of these services, see our Library Services and Resources page.
