The Respecting Diversity User Group consists of volunteers from organisations concerned with diversity issues in the community and recent patients of Ipswich Hospital. A large part of the group’s work is cultivating, understanding and opening channels of communication that are effective for all.
The aim is that everyone is able to access their local hospital with ease, respect and dignity. Members look at issues such as language, communication, education awareness and dietary needs alongside religious, clinical and spiritual needs which can impact on clinical services and care.
The Trust lead for the group is the Deputy Director of Human Resources.
The group is keen to hear from anyone who is interested in their work and welcomes new members.
