Disability Forum

The Disability Forum looks at access to, and provision of, services at the hospital for people with a disability. It considers patients’ and carers’ needs as well as the hospital environment.

They meet bi-monthly for up to two hours usually on a Friday morning.

There are both disabled people and representatives of voluntary organisations who work with people who have diabilities, on the forum.

New members are welcome. Where necessary, support can be provided to help attend and take part in meetings, for example the hospital can arrange for signers or reimburse expenses for a supporter.

The forum was instrumental in the introduction of the award winning Visual Alerts system.

If you would like to join the group, or have something you feel they should discuss, please write to:

Pam Evans, Patient Experience Coordinator, Nursing and Quality (C366), Ipswich Hospital, Heath Road, Ipswich IP4 5PD, telephone 01473 702101 or click here to email Pam.
