Referring to Acute Paediatric Physiotherapy

Referrals Guidance

Children’s Physiotherapy (PT) at Ipswich Hospital provides specialist assessments and interventions for children aged 0-16 years who have an identified or suspected musculoskeletal, or orthopaedic problem. We also offer physiotherapy to children and young people within the Rheumatology, Oncology, Respiratory and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome services at Ipswich Hospital.

Where do I send referrals to?

All referrals to the Acute Paediatric Physiotherapy Service must be made on the MSK referral form, and sent to the Single Point Of Access (SPOA), via Erefer.

If you do not have access to the Erefer system, then please complete the MSK referral and e-mail it securely to the SPOA via centraladmin@nhs.net.

Please note all MSK forms are available on both SystemOne and Map of Medicine and will shortly be available on the IESMSK website.

Who can refer?
