Profile:
Miss Ball graduated from the University of Wales in 1998, and completed her specialist surgical training on the Cambridge surgical rotation. She  was awarded a prestigious National Oncoplastic Fellowship at the Royal Marsden (2011-12) where she gained experience in advanced oncoplastic surgical procedures.

Miss Ball completed a PhD in 2006, researching the molecular mechansims involved in cancer growth. She continues to have an active interest in research, and is currently working towards a MS degree in Oncoplastic Surgery at the University of East Anglia.

Miss Ball was appointed as the third consultant in the Ipswich Breast Unit in May 2013. She performs all routine breast surgical operations, and specialises in re-shaping the breast, and both breast and nipple reconstruction. She has a special interest in the family history of breast cancer.

Profile:
Miss Mortimer has been a breast and general surgical consultant since October 1998. She is clinical lead for breast cancer and primarily works as an oncoplastic breast surgeon and trainer. Miss Mortimer teaches on the oncoplastic masters degree course and training the trainers courses and is currently surgical tutor.

Ipswich Hospital is one of the pioneering centres in the UK for implant based breast reconstruction and has strong links with the Broomfield Plastics Centre for joint care of more complex cases.

Ipswich Hospital offers a complete symptomatic, screening, cosmetic and family history service for breast disease.
