There is currently act of worship in chapel on Sunday, but Holy Communion can be provided to patients and their visitors on the ward, on request. Details of occasional services and other events held at different times throughout the year (including Sundays) are advertised from time to time.

Friday Prayers (Jummah) are held in the hospital each week in the designated Prayer Room. Please contact the  Department of Pastoral and Spiritual Care for further details of location.

Morning prayer 

 

Holy communion

All those who are able to join are welcome to share in Morning Prayer (staff, patients or visitors).

There are prayer mats in the rear of the Chapel available to staff and patients for use at times when the Muslim Prayer Room may not be accessible.

Patients wishing to attend the Roman Catholic Mass or the Ecumenical Services should advise ward staff who will pass on this request to the Chaplaincy team. 

Chaplains regularly visit wards and departments and are happy to speak to anyone, patient’s visitors or staff.

If you know that you will be coming into hospital soon and would like a chaplains to visit, please see Contacting the Chaplains where you will find a number of ways you can contact the Chaplaincy team.

If you are already in hospital, please ask one of the staff to contact the Chaplaincy team, or complete and return one of the referral leaflets, and we will be happy to visit you.
