Thank you for helping to write our next chapter.

Our Trust received a variety of constructive comments in response to its draft five-year strategy, called ‘Writing the Next Chapter’, which have been used to shape the document and the hospital’s priorities.

The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive. People showed huge support for the hospital’s approach to working in partnership to drive change while providing seamless services and ensuring people receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

Those who shared their views also said they felt the trust was focusing on the right areas to help it meet the challenges it faces while continuing to deliver safe, sustainable services. This includes supporting people differently, delivering as much care out of hospital as possible and using technology such as email and text to reduce the need for face-to-face appointments.

The hospital is now finalising the way the first two years of its strategy will be delivered and will continue to share its plans and ambitions throughout the process.

Chief executive Nick Hulme said: “We would like to thank everyone who took the time to share their views on our strategy and help us write the next exciting chapter in our hospital’s story.

“The feedback showed that local people really do support our ambition to be an outstanding provider of health services which works seamlessly with our partners to deliver great care and a great experience.

“This is just the start of the conversation – we will continue to share our plans and ambitions with you as our strategy is delivered over the next five years.”
