Overview: Debenham Ward has 24 beds for cardiac rehabilitation and endocrine/diabetes patients.
Visiting times: Visiting times are 11 am – 7 pm daily.
Please assist ward staff by only visiting at the above times, unless you have made other arrangements with the ward sister or charge nurse.
No of visitors per bed: We request that there are only two visitors at a time and children under 12 should not visit. We ask that visitors are considerate to the needs of other patients on the ward.
Meal times: Breakfast   8 – 8.30 am
Lunch        12 – 12.30 pm
Dinner        5.30 – 6.30 pm
Refreshments will be served during and in between meal times. Debenham Ward has implemented protected meal times therefore the ward is closed during these times. Anyone wishing to assist their family member with meals should discuss this with the nursing staff.
Additional information: Good communication is very important to everyone: the patient, the family carer, relatives, friends and the nursing team. We would therefore be grateful if, with the permission of the patient, one person such as the family carer or a relative or friend becomes the 'key contact' to enquire about the patient's progress during their stay on the ward, and then passes this information on to others who may be concerned. All other information can be found in the 'Staying as an Inpatient' booklet.
