What do I do if I don’t receive a follow-up appointment?

All patients with IBD need to be followed up in the clinic unless alternative arrangements for review are in place.

If an appointment you are expecting does not come through, please contact on 01473703752 or your consultant’s secretary. You can find the number on the clinic letter head, or alternatively via the hospital switchboard on 01473 712233. This may be especially necessary if your next appointment has not been booked pending some special test / scan / endoscopy. However, it may be a little time after this depending on the availability and so if there appears to be a long delay you can always contact the IBD helpline to discuss.
