Is it OK to continue to take anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) whilst on methotrexate?

Yes, although both NSAIDs and methotrexate can cause abnormalities in the liver, many patients with arthritis require both of these to control their symptoms. Providing you have your blood tests as recommended there is unlikely to be a problem with this.
