Why have I had to wait to be offered a first appointment at the Pain Management Clinic?

There are many people in the UK who live with chronic pain – up to 7.8 million people. The Chronic Pain Management Service serves a large area of East Anglia, and so there are many people who are under the care of the Service, which means we are very busy. We try to reduce waiting times as much as possible, but due to the number of referrals we have, there is a waiting list to be seen. We always try to offer people an appointment as soon as we can.

You can help us with reducing waiting times. Always let us know if you aren’t able to make an appointment which you have booked. If you tell us in advance, we can offer you a different time, and give your original appointment to someone else.
